SCAETTC (Southern Central AIDS Education Telehealth Training Center) is a HRSA funded program that offers clinical consultation, education, and training for health care providers (non HIV specialists) practicing in rural and medically underserved areas of Kentucky and Tennessee. The goal of the program is to increase access to HIV care in underserved areas. SCEATTC is headquartered in the Division of Infectious Disease, University of Kentucky College of Medicine in Lexington, KY. Dr. Takako Schaninger, an Infectious Disease specialist, is the SCAETTC Program Director.
SCAETTC hosts live telehealth programs on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 12:15 PM EST (lasting 45 minutes). Programs focus on HIV related topics.
