About Us

The Medical Oncology Division, within the Department of Internal Medicine, cares for adult patients with cancers of solid organs which include but are not limited to cancers of the lung, gastrointestinal tract (colon, stomach and pancreas), breast, genitourinary system (prostate, bladder and kidney), head and neck, skin, bone and muscle. In other words, we care for all cancers of the solid organs except hematologic (blood) and gynecologic cancers.

Our mission is to reduce cancer deaths and suffering through innovative research, dedicated patient care, education and community activities. The Medical Oncology Division strives to give the best medical cancer treatment options in the southeast, and we care for patients from throughout Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia and beyond.

The Medical Oncology Division is devoted to educating the public, medical students, residents, fellows and most importantly our patients about the importance of treating cancer.
