Internal Medicine Wellness Curriculum

Our program is committed to the wellness of our residents. Work-life balance is truly a worthy goal and not just a catchphrase at the University of Kentucky.

Small Groups

Running club meets for drinks after a group run. Check out their Facebook page to learn more!

Our program has started resident led clubs with shared interests to help connect folks outside of the hospital. Example of these groups include:

  • Running

  • Wine and Cheese

  • Gardening

  • Cooking

Clubs on the horizon include: Care and Truck Club and Hiking Club!

These groups continue to grow and if you don't see one that fits your interests, we encourage you to start your own! This is a great way to get connected with peers with similar interests- or learn a new hobby you've been wanting to try!

Finding Meaning in Medicine

This is a fan-favorite series of special get-togethers where residents share food, drinks and presonal stories related to their resideny experience. True to our culture of work family, dinners are usually co-hosted by an upper-lovel resident and Angela Webb, MD, Associate Chair for Wellness, at her home.
