Kentucky AIDS Education and Training Center’s (KY AETC) Practice Transformation Expansion (PTE) program provides training and technical assistance to Kentucky health centers for HIV screening, testing, and linkage to care, and provides additional support and guidance to areas and communities at risk of HIV/HCV outbreaks due to opioid and injection drug use. KY AETC partners with community healthcare clinics for five years with the goal of transforming selected clinical practices and building the capacity of the selected organizations to provide quality HIV care. Our PTE Program Coordinator works closely with each clinic to identify its needs and tailor trainings that work for its providers.
Additionally, the Kentucky Expansion program partners KY AETC and the KADAP Income Reinvestment Program (KIRP) to offer training to healthcare providers across the state that would like to learn more about HIV and the Care Continuum, in order to better serve their communities. If you are interested in learning more about educational opportunities through Kentucky Expansion, please fill out our Expansion Provider Education Request form.
