Clinical Care

The College of Medicine Division of Infectious Diseases provides consultation services for inpatients at both the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The consult team is staffed by faculty and fellows as well as residents, students, and pharmacists on a rotating basis to provide multidisciplinary care for patients.

The division also provides outpatient services for a wide variety of illnesses, such as adult and pediatric HIV/AIDS, and bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic infections. The practice has a particular focus on the treatment of immunocompromised patients, including those who have undergone organ transplants.

The Infectious Diseases Travel Clinic is available for travelers to receive information and vaccinations before travelling abroad at Kentucky Clinic South.
