In the Internal Medicine Residency Program, we offer several opportunities for residents to break from the demands of training and focus on career building, job opportunities, and comradery. Each year our residents are encouraged to participate in program outings that provide a range of experiences while offering valuable information.
PGY 1 - Buffalo Trace Distillery - Educational Conference followed by a Distillery Tour
PGY 2 - Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill - KY American College of Physicians Retreat
PGY 3 - Beaumont Center/Keeneland - Educational Conference and an afternoon at the races.
Welcome Event - A casual gathering where the new interns can mix and mingle with established residents, program leadership, staff, and faculty.
Chief Roast - A fun evening to toast and roast the departing chiefs and graduating class (Pictured left: 2018 Senior Residents, right: Program Leadership)
Senior Banquet - A formal dinner and ceremony to recognize the accomplishments of our graduating senior class.
Holiday Party - hosted by faculty member(s).
In addition, we also host other resident planned outings as well as 3-4 dinners per year sponsored by large hospital systems to highlight job opportunities in the state of KY.
