The University of Kentucky Adult Cystic Fibrosis Clinic is one of only two cystic fibrosis centers in Kentucky. It is a multidisciplinary cystic fibrosis clinic that is staffed by both pediatric and adult pulmonary faculty, as well as nursing, dietary, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, and psychology personnel to allow all aspects of CF to be managed in the same place. Staff work to make sure each patient has a unique treatment plan based on severity and symptoms. Available treatment options include various types of interventional procedures and medication. In severe cases, the clinic also coordinates with the division's Lung Transplant Program for those patients who are referred for lung transplantation.
The clinic currently follows cystic fibrosis patients from the central and eastern part of the state, as well as patients from the surrounding states with varying degrees of severity.
The clinic is located on the fifth floor of the Kentucky Clinic on the University of Kentucky Campus. For appointments or prescription refills call 859-257-5536.
