UK Chandler Hospital:
At UK Chandler Hospital we provide services for
- Multiple Hospital Medicine teams
- An Oncology team
- Hospital Medicine Consults
- 24/7 coverage
Daytime hospitalists have clinical care responsibilities from 7 AM to 7 PM. Night service hospitalists provide coverage during the night and admit patients to the Hospital Medicine Service along with the on-call residents and interns. Patients with very complex medical conditions including post-transplant and end stage liver disease patients are admitted to this facility and cared for by hospitalists.
Hospitalists care for patients directly or supervise teaching teams of residents and medical students. Advanced Practice Providers (NPs and PAs) collaborate with physicians on some direct care teams. All the teams are backed by a dedicated case manager or social worker as discharge planners and a Clinical Pharmacist.
